Food security, orchards and circular economy

Campaign on Food Security in Agriculture and Nutrition

We have set up a course of five modules where H is taught to learn about the importance of food security, how to grow food for self-consumption through the development of Proximity Gardens; Nutrition and basic concepts of sowing within the framework of the Circular Economy. The course is virtual and takes place on the EduCrops platform by entering a password. The duration of the course and the accompaniment for the sowing of the first crop is 4 to 5 months.

In 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, we impacted more than 1,000 high school students in the Costa Rican public system. We managed to teach young people, empower them and accompany them until their food was harvested. The impact was such that the family joined in an experience that marked their lives. By 2021 we hope to reach 1,600 young people.
